Create an API key
Sign up, create an API key and set up an OTP template.

Send the code
Call the send endpoint with the user’s phone number.

Verify it
Call the verify endpoint with the code the user typed and act on the result.
Two calls: send, then verify
Send a code by SMS (or WhatsApp at /otp/whatsapp/send), then verify what the user entered. The response tells you when the code expires.

Frequently asked questions
What is an OTP SMS API?
An OTP (one-time password) SMS API lets your app send a short code to a user’s phone to confirm it is really them, for example at sign-up, login or before a payment. Robocast sends the code and checks it for you.
How long is an OTP code valid?
5 minutes by default. You can set any expiry from 60 seconds to 15 minutes per request.
Can I send OTP codes by WhatsApp instead of SMS?
Yes. Robocast sends OTP codes by SMS or by WhatsApp. WhatsApp codes use an Authentication template approved by Meta on your WhatsApp Business account.
Can I use codes generated by my own system?
Yes. Pass a 4 to 8 digit code in the request and Robocast delivers it. If you don’t, Robocast generates a random code for you.
Does Robocast work for numbers in Jordan?
Yes. Robocast is built by Robotack for businesses in Jordan, with Arabic messages, approved sender names and pricing in Jordanian dinars.
